How to Fix Hisense TV Sound Keeps Changing

If your Hisense TV sound keeps fluctuating frequently, you can follow the solutions below to fix the issue on any model, including VIDAA, Roku, Android, Google, Fire, and XClass/Xumo.

    Check the Connected Cables

One primary reason for the sound-changing issue is loosely connected cables. Cables are known for their high-quality video and audio transmission. If external cables, like HDMI cables, are connected loosely to the TV or damaged, then your TV might face a sound-changing issue.

So, make sure to unplug the cables and replug them firmly without any loose connections, or change the cables to new ones if damaged.

    Power Cycle Your Hisense TV

If the cables are firmly connected and still your Hisense TV sound keeps changing, then you must restart your Hisense Smart TV. When you restart the device, the temporary bugs and hidden errors will be eradicated.

    1. Turn off your TV and detach the power cable from the power outlet.
    2. Hold the TV unplugged for 2 minutes.
    3. Now, the excess charge will be drained out from your TV.
    4. Then, attach the cable to the socket and turn on your Hisense TV.
Power cycle the Hisense TV to fix the sound keeps on changing issue

Once you’ve done this, your Hisense TV should be free of the sound-fluctuating issue. If not, move to the next troubleshooting technique.

    Switch to Other Content

Sometimes, the problem might be with the specific app or the content you are streaming. In this case, try to play any other content in the same app to check the root cause of the issue. If the content plays smoothly without any sound changes or interruption, then the problem is with the previously played content.

If you still experience the sound issue even after changing the content, the problem might be with that particular app. So, try playing any other app to identify the problem.

Analyze the CEC Settings on Hisense TV

If you connect external devices to your Hisense TV like Xbox, PS5, Firestick, or Roku and the sound keeps changing, then the issue is related to Hisense TV’s CEC feature. If the CEC option is disabled, you will face this issue. So, enable CEC on your Hisense TV to eradicate the error. To enable CEC,

    • Hisense VIDAA TV: Press the Settings button → Select Connection → HDMI & CEC → CEC Control→ Turn On.
    • Hisense Roku TV: Navigate to Settings → Select System → Control Other Devices (CEC) → System Audio Control → Enable 1-touch Play.
    • Hisense Google TV: Open Google TV Settings → Choose Channels & Inputs → Inputs → Control Other Devices (CEC) → Enable HDMI Control and the other necessary options.
    • Hisense Android TV: Select Device Preferences → HMDI CEC → Turn On CEC.
    • Hisense Fire TV: Open Settings → Select Display & Sounds → HDMI CEC Device Control → Turn On.
    • Hisense XClass TV: Antenna and Inputs → HDMI CEC → Toggle On.
    Enable CEC on Hisense TV

Inspect the Volume Buttons (Both TV & Remote)

The next method is to examine the volume buttons on the remote and the respective Hisense TV model. In rare cases, your Hisense TV remote fails to work due to certain reasons, or the TV buttons may get stuck or damaged. If you come across any of these issues, then your TV sound will keep on changing frequently.

Check the volume buttons on the Hisense Smart TV

Initially, inspect the buttons on the TV and the remote, and free them if they have become stuck. Further, if your remote is not working properly, reset the Hisense TV remote to fix the issue.

Tip! If you face hardware issues with the remote and have decided to buy a new one, I recommend buying the Maxitoc Universal Remote Control from Amazon, which is termed the best universal remote for Hisense TV.

    Adjust/Reset Audio Settings

Audio settings are also one of the causes of the continuous change in Hisense TV sounds. To get a seamless audio experience and to fix the issue, it’s better to change the audio output settings on your Hisense TV.

Alternatively, you can also reset the Hisense TV sound settings and then set up the necessary settings from scratch. Once you’re done with settings, the problem should be fixed on your TV.

    Upgrade the Hisense TV

It is also important to upgrade the Hisense TV firmware to eradicate any issues, including the sound issue. Hisense releases new updates frequently, and it is important to upgrade the TV to the latest version.

Connect your Hisense TV to a WiFi network and launch the settings section to update the TV. You can also enable the Auto-Update feature so that the TV will be updated automatically once a new firmware is released.

    Hard Reset the TV

As a last solution, you can try hard resetting your Hisense Smart TV to check whether the issue is getting fixed. Resetting a TV is not like altering the settings. It will delete all the stored data and will alter all the customized settings. So, you need to set up your Hisense TV from the beginning and then prompt to use the TV.

    Contact Hisense Customer Service

If nothing seems to work effectively, you can reach out to the Hisense professionals to find a solution. If the issue is severe, you cannot fix it yourself. So, contact the Hisense support team in any one of the ways below.
