This article will explain the steps to factory reset Hisense TV to the default settings within a minute or two.
A soft reset on Hisense TV will fix app freezing or loading issues. However, if you encounter technical issues, such as bugs and glitches, that aren’t solved by basic troubleshooting methods, then hard/factory reset is your last option to be done on the Hisense TV.
Upon reset, all the apps and settings that you have configured will be deleted permanently. So, you need to start using it from scratch by setting up your Hisense TV again.
Things You Need to Do Before Resetting Hisense TV!

How to Reset Hisense TV With No Picture
If your TV displays no picture but a black screen, then you can reset the device by following the techniques mentioned below.
- Soft reset your TV by unplugging the power cord from the outlet and plugging it back.
- Find the reset button on your TV’s panel and perform the restart.
- For specific models, holding the Menu and Home button on the remote for 10 seconds will soft reset your TV.
Are Soft Reset and Hard Reset on Hisense TV the Same?
No, a soft reset is nothing but restarting a Hisense TV whenever a software issue occurs. Unlike hard reset, it won’t delete any saved settings or data on your Hisense TV. The main purpose of a soft reset is to remove the temporary bugs and glitches from the device. Also, I recommend you perform a soft reset before the factory reset. Here’s how you do it:
- Initially, power off your Hisense TV and remove the power cord from the wall outlet.
- After that, wait for a few minutes.
- Now, plug the power cord back into the wall socket and boot up your Hisense TV.
In this way, you can eliminate all the temporary issues associated with your Hisense TV.
Factory Reset is one of the most effective troubleshooting methods for solving problems on the TV. You can also perform the factory default settings if you are planning to sell the Hisense Smart TV.
