    How to Fix Hisense TV Keeps Dimming Problem

    Possible Workarounds to Fix the Hisense TV Keeps Dimming Problem

    Sometimes, altering minute changes in the device settings can fix a very big problem. In that case, you can follow the steps below either in sequential order or randomly to resolve the Hisense TV keeps dimming problem.

    Adjust Picture Settings

    Improper picture settings are the major reason for the Hisense TV keeps dimming issue. If the picture settings on Hisense TV are configured wrongly, fetch the remote control and adjust it manually.

    You can also alter the backlight settings, which can trigger your TV’s automatic dimming. Here are the steps to adjust the picture settings.

    • At first, press the Menu button on the Hisense TV remote.
    • Then, choose the Picture option present at the top and select Backlight.

    Disable Dynamic Contrast

    Dynamic contrast mainly aims to improve the contrast ratio of your Hisense TV. This automatic change can automatically increase the effect of the image with deeper blacks, vivid colors, and crisp details. At the same time, it can dim your Hisense TV brightness. So, it is better to turn off the Dynamic Contrast. The steps below will guide you in doing so.

    • Press the Menu button on your Hisense TV remote.
    • Next, you have to tap on the Settings option and choose Picture on the list.
    • To fix the Hisense TV dimming problem, you have to tap on Dynamic Contrast and disable the option.

    Disable Local Dimming

    If your Hisense TV supports Local Dimming, then ensure this feature is turned off. This feature controls the brightness in different areas to improve the picture quality. However, if your Hisense TV keeps dimming, then this feature needs to be turned off. To do so,

    • Open the Settings menu and select Picture.
    • Choose Backlight.
    • Under the Backlight menu, highlight Local Dimming and turn it Off.

    If your Hisense TV turns dark all of a sudden, it means there’s a loose connection between the TV’s cord and the connected streaming device. To fix this, go near the power cord and inspect the cables are connected firmly. If you see any loose connections, then plug out the cable from the wall outlet and connect it again without leaving any space.

    Moreover, it is also recommended that you ensure the cable is not damaged physically. If you see any insulation damage, then replace it with a new one. Purchase a good quality power cord from Amazon or any other retailer and connect it to your Hisense TV to avoid connectivity issues.

    Power Cycle/Restart Hisense TV

    If the above two alterations in the picture settings didn’t help, you can try out the normal power cycle method. Power cycling or restarting your Hisense TV will clear the unwanted bugs or glitches. This gives a quick revival to your TV and can stop the automatic dimming of the Hisense TV.

    The Eco mode or energy-saving mode on the Hisense TV will adjust the brightness of your Hisense TV according to your environment. This automatic tuning of the brightness. So, you can disable the energy-saving mode on your Hisense TV to stop the automatic dimming of your device.

    Reset Hisense TV Picture Settings

    Hisense Roku TVHome → Settings → System → Advanced System Settings → Factory Reset → Reset TV Picture Settings → Press Play/Pause button 3 times.
    Hisense Android/Google TVSettings → Device Preferences → Picture Mode → Reset to Default.
    Hisense XClass/Xumo TVSettings → Picture and Sound → Reset Picture and Sound Settings.

    After resetting the settings to default, you can manually set the best picture settings for your Hisense TV. With this, you can enjoy world-class streaming on your device.

    Update Hisense TV

    If the problem still exists even after trying all of the alterations with the picture settings, then it is time to work on your Hisense TV firmware. Probably, if your Hisense TV is running on older firmware, it can induce bugs on your Hisense TV, affecting its working performance. So, it is better to update the Hisense TV to fix this unwanted dimming issue.

    Hard Reset Hisense TV
