How to Disable Energy Saving Mode on Hisense TV

Turning off the energy saver mode varies for each Hisense TV model, and here’s how to do it.

    Hisense VIDAA TV

    • Navigate to Settings once you launch on the VIDAA home screen.
    • Highlight the System option and choose the Timer Settings option.
    • Upon selecting it, tap on Power on timer or Power off timer.

In this way, you can turn on/off the energy-saver mode on your Hisense VIDAA TV.

    Hisense Roku TV

    • Upon turning on your Hisense TV, navigate to the Settings section.
    • Navigate to choose System and click Power.
    • Hover to select Auto Power Savings using the remote.
    • Now, you have two options to go with. Either choose Reduce power after 15 minutes or select the Turn off after 4 hours option.
Choose the Auto Power Savings option

    Hisense Google TV

    • From the Home menu, click the Profile icon and select the Settings option.
    • Now, you need to scroll down to select System.
    • Upon choosing it, tap the Power & Energy option under System.
    • On the next screen, you must highlight Energy Saver.
    • Now, turn Off the mode and start using your Hisense TV hassle-free.

    Hisense XClass/Xumo TV

    • From the home screen, tap on the Settings wheel.
    • Hover to select the Device Settings option and highlight Power Preferences.
    • Now, tap on Auto-Off and set it to Off.

Disabling the Automatic Light Sensor on the Hisense TV

Similar to the energy-saving mode, some Hisense TV models, like the Hisense A6, U8K, U6KQTUK, and a few others, have the Automatic Light Sensor feature. This feature uses the built-in light sensor to adjust the screen brightness automatically based on the environment. This might also hinder your streaming experience. So, disable this option for a seamless viewing experience.

    • Navigate to the Settings menu and select Picture.
    • Then, choose Brightness.
    • From the next screen, you can see the Automatic Light Sensor option.
    • Highlight the option and set it to Off.

Reasons to Turn Off Energy Saving Mode on Hisense TV

Even though enabling the power-saving mode consumes electricity, there are some side effects. Here, I’ve explained why you need to disable it on Hisense TV.

    • Energy-saving mode automatically reduces the screen brightness to save power. This might be quite frustrating while watching your favorite shows during the day.
    • Playing high-quality games while enabling the power-saving mode will affect the overall performance by increasing input lag and making the device render.
    • If this mode is turned on, the overall performance will be affected. This includes accessing apps, navigating settings, and video streaming.
    • Similar to the picture quality, it also reduces the audio quality, which is hostile to users who use Dolby Atmos and DTS:X effects.

    Final Verdict

These are all the steps to disable the energy-saving mode on your Hisense TV and use it according to your preference. However, if you want to turn on the energy-saving mode on your TV, follow the above steps and enable it. Turning on this mode will adjust the brightness, contrast, and backlight in your respective smart TV.

In addition, the sleep timer on Hisense TV is also one of the key alternatives to energy-saving mode, which automatically turns off the screen after a certain period of inactivity. Instead of enabling the energy-saving mode, you can turn on the sleep timer on your Hisense TV to consume energy without lowering the brightness.
