Skype is an instant messaging app that allows you to voice or video call your favorite person worry-free. Unfortunately, the Skype app is not available on any of the Hisense TV models. Also, the absence of built-in camera support on the TV is one of the main reasons for the app’s unavailability.
However, if you still wish to access the Skype content on your Hisense TV, then I’ve got your back. Here, I have listed the three alternative approaches to get Skype on Hisense Smart TV.
Alternative Ways to Use Skype on Hisense TV
As the Skype application is not officially available on the Hisense TV app store, I’ve mentioned alternative ways to access the app content.
Use Skype for Web
One of the easiest methods for accessing Skype on your Hisense TV is via Skype for Web. You can use your Hisense TV’s web browser on your VIDAA, Android, Google, and Fire TVs to access its web version. Even though you can do audio or video calls, you can still access the chat and view recordings right from your Hisense TV. To do so,
1. Open the web browser on your Hisense TV.
2. Using the virtual on-screen keyboard or voice assistants, input the command and visit web.skype.com.
3. Then, sign in to your Skype account and start viewing your recordings.

Sideloading the App & Setting up the Camera
In this method, you sideload the Skype app on your Hisense TV to perform a video call. Since the Hisense TV does not have a built-in camera, you have to install a webcam on your TV with a built-in microphone to use this platform.
Note: You can sideload the APK files only on Hisense Android, Google, and Fire TVs.
1. Initially, connect the webcam cable to the HDMI ports of the Hisense TV and set it up.
2. Then, turn on your Hisense TV and connect it to stable internet via ethernet or WiFi.

3. After that, install the Downloader app from the Amazon App Store or Google Play Store on your Hisense TV
4. Further, don’t forget to enable the Unknown Sources for Downloader.
5. Now, using the Downloader app, you can sideload the APK file of Skype to download the app on your Hisense TV.
7. After installation, launch the Skype app on your Hisense TV. Then, sign in to your account with the Skype name and the Password.
6. Now, you can use the Skype video conferencing app to make video calls or audio calls with your friends.
Screen Mirror Skype to Hisense TV
It is not possible to sideload the Skype app on Hisense TV models like Roku, VIDAA, and XClass/Xumo TVs. In that case, you can either Cast or Screen Mirror the app to the Hisense TV from your smartphone.
Tip! Connect your smartphone and the Hisense TV to the WiFi network. Enable the AirPlay option on the Hisense TV to undergo smooth mirroring.
