The Screenless Mode on a Hisense TV allows you to control the TV using Google Assistant when the TV’s screen is off. This will instantly wake your Hisense TV from sleep mode. With this mode enabled, you will be able to listen to music or audio without the TV screen turned on. In other words, you will not be distracted by the visuals while still enjoying the audio.
The screenless mode is available only for Hisense Google TV, and you can enable it by navigating through the Settings menu. For other TV models, we have mentioned alternative ways of controlling the TV using the Google Home app.
How to Turn On Screenless Mode on Hisense Google TV
- With your Hisense TV turned on, launch the home screen.
- Using the remote, open the Settings menu.
- Hover to System settings and highlight the Power and Energy option.
- Now, you need to select the Screenless Service option.
- Activate the mode by turning it on.
Note: As screenless mode affects the standby power consumption, you can turn it off anytime under Settings → Advanced Settings → Screenless mode → Turn off.
Alternative Ways to Use Google Assistant on Other Hisense TV Models
Like Hisense Google TV, other Hisense Smart TV models can also be controlled using the Google Assistant feature. To do so, you need to connect your Hisense TV to the Google Home app and control it via voice assistants.
You can directly connect your Chromecast-supported Hisense TV model, such as Android TV, to the Google Home app.
For a Hisense Fire, Roku, and VIDAA TV, you need to link your third-party accounts, such as your Amazon account, Roku account, and VIDAA account, with the Google account.
To do so, you must initially download the Google Home app and then install the respective third-party apps, including Amazon Fire TV, The Roku App (Official), and VIDAA Smart TV on your smartphone. Once done, connect your third-party account with the Google account and then control your desired Hisense TV using Google Assistant.
Upon the successful connection, this process allows you to access your Hisense TV without using a remote. This feature helps visually impaired people who find it difficult to operate the TV using the remote.
